Readme/Help documentation *

Majodio.Dns is FREE a .Net component capable of communicating directly with DNS servers.  The component can retrieve multiple resource records (RRs) from a DNS server including:

  • MX (Mail Exchanger)
  • ANAME
  • SOA (Start of Authority)
  • NS (Name Server)
  • PTR (Pointer)
  • TXT (Text Strings)
  • CNAME (Canonical name for an alias)

Majodio.Dns was built based on the RFC 1035 specification.

The component has been designed with performance in mind.  In tests it has processed more than 5,000 DNS queries in under 10 seconds.  Written for the .Net framework 2.0, Majodio.Dns integrates with the already rich library of network capabilities and completes the DNS portion by adding the ability to process multiple record types.  For more details about this component, please refer to the help documentation.  If you have any questions or suggested improvements please send an e-mail to support@majodio.com.
